Queensland Health engaged Space Smart directly, to undertake a detailed storage audit of their existing premises in various locations in Brisbane’s CBD.

In late 2008, Queensland Health plan will relocate 2200 staff to a new purpose-designed building in Butterfield St, Brisbane. Space Smart is working closely with the Designers (BCC City Design) in the early stages of the project to ensure that the block and stack planned will enable sufficient storage space to be provided for the relevant business units.

The Space Smart report identified actions required to prepare the department’s records for the impending relocation. An internal team is implementing these. Planning is underway for placement of storage for the various business groups.
